Holy Dave empathizes with Charlene Ruto, offers to set up smokie corner in her honour

Rapper cum media personality Holy Dave has added his voice to netizens who have been bashing deputy president's daughter Charlene Ruto's statement in sections of the press.
In a statement that has since gone viral, Charlene claimed that she was a open-air vendor while she studied at Daystar university. " I once was in the business of selling smokies and kachumbari. Those were the bitings that sold then and my father really encouraged me in that small business I was running, " she said. The revelation received backlash from many who regarded it as a big lie.

But Holy Dave has come to her defense, claiming he can relate.
Speaking while posing next to his mobile cart that he'd christened with his initials, the Daystar university alumni disclosed that he'd been in the same business as well. "I can relate with what she said. Smokies and kachumbari were the in thing and many students including myself found it lucrative."
Dave's sensational culinary skills that he shares on his social platforms have earned him endorsements and celebrity appearances at cookout events.
"My love for food honed my cooking skills and since I can earn while doing it for fun, then why not?"
Though his monthly cookout function was called off after the new licencing regulations that deregistered residential noise pollution, Dave says he's willing to extend an invitation to Charlene Ruto in his next event. "Simply means she's a foodie like I am. I don't mind setting up a smokies and kachumbari corner in her honour. I know she means well," he offered.
