Fighting hangover naturally

Saturday mornings, Sunday mornings and Monday mornings have one thing in common they are usually punctuated with hangovers, making those days unbearable.

But you need not suffer hangovers anymore. Ginger is a locally available home remedy that has been used to treat nausea sea—sickness and hangovers. Slice several pieces of fresh ginger root and pour them in three cups of water. Boil the mixture for ten minutes. Now take a full orange and half a lemon, strain the juice and add half a cup of honey. Add this concoction to your ginger mixture and drink it to relief. If you feel that the concoction is too bitter, you can add more honey to sweeten it.

Usually, a hangover is accompanied by a serious headache. For fast relief, you might want to gather your courage and try a cold shower to liven you up.

Fresh juice is also good for a heavy hangover. Freshly squeezed orange juice helps to raise your blood sugar levels and ease some of your hangover symptoms. If you are having a bad stomach, avoid acidic juices such as lemon and orange juice and opt for fresh apple juice.

Did you know bananas too are a remedy to hangovers? Bananas are great because they replace the potassium you lost through peeing when you were drunk. You can either eat them plain or blend them along with your apple juice to thicken your juice and give you the relief you badly need.
