Lucky Lakhani floors 260 golfers to win NCBA title in Sigona

Handicap 10, Hitul Lakhani emerged top during the seventh leg of the 2022 NCBA series at the par-72, Sigona Golf Club course, over the weekend.

Lakhani towered over a field of 260 golfers, who graced the fairways in search of the top accolades.

An impressive showing on both nines presented him with the win after posting 42 stableford points made up of 14 points from his outward nine and a super inward nine score of 25 stableford points.

Trailing Lakhani with one point was his club mate G M Gitau, playing off handicap eight, who returned 39 (23+16) stableford points for overall second place finish in Division One.

In Division Two, Anthony Gathura, playing off handicap 20, carded a total of 42 (20+22) stableford points to win in the category. He was one point better than his closest challenger Dipak Bid, playing off handicap 25, who finished his round with 41 points. 

In the ladies category, handicap 34 Eunice Migwi, emerged the winner with 39 stableford points, while Amon Ngechu, playing off handicap 23, was the staff winner with 36 stableford points. 

Taking the nine’s were, Bharat Shah and Hitesh Pindoli with 23 points each. In the longest drive contest, James Githumbi and Helen Chepkwony won in the men’s and ladies’ contests respectively, while Mela Dhanjal won the Nearest-to-the-pin challenge.
