Kawangware children fun day

The Under 8 two times Vapor Sports Ministry League Champions, Angels lost to Gospel football team 3-0 in this year’s Championships held at Hope Centre in Nairobi.

However, Calvary team lead with 20 points while Angel were second with 19 points.  Gospel team had 15, Timothy 13, Lambs 11 and Solomons 5.

The top scorer in the category being Cosmas Nyaoro.

The event brought together five different categories including  U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14 and U-16.

The Ambassadress beat Ephesians 2-1 to grab the U-10 Category title. Other teams were Corinthians, Devoters, Amazing Grace and Victory.

The U-12 champions are Almighty after beating 3-2 Lord’s Army team. Almighty had 17 points, Kings 14 points, Lord’s Army 13 points, Leviticus eight points and Exodus seven points.

Chosen, Psalms, Genesis and Exodus watched as Philipians  grabbed the  2012 record for the best team of the year U-14 Category.

In the U-16 category Romans topped with 3-1 goals against Kings but came third with 15 points’ ranking after Kings 22 and Galatians 16 in the U-16. The top scorer in thiscategory was Peter Nyoike, 9, of Kings team. 

Catherine Kabi Coach U8 and one of the organisers said that the tournament’s’ main aim was to mobilise children from Kawangware and its environs to  reduce level of inactiveness and encourage spiritual development among children.
