Gor Mahia head coach Mark Harrison has called on fans to come out in numbers as they host Congolese side AS Otoho d’Oyo in a crucial second leg of the Caf Confederation Cup playoffs at Nyayo Stadium.

K’Ogalo has a lot to do for them to qualify for the lucrative Sh27million group stages after a poor show during the first leg played last weekend in Congo.

Gor Mahia lost 1-0 to AS Otoho d’Oyo in Congo last Sunday and have to score two goals without reply to be sure of reaching the group stages.

Speaking after the club’s training yesterday, Harrison said despite being ready to turn around the playoffs to their favour as a team, they will definitely need their fans support to push through to the group stage.

“We are happy that we will have our fans back at the stadium and they are back at a very crucial time for us. We still need fans despite having our our confidence as a team and let them come in numbers to boost the players as we look to soldier on through to the group stages,” the English tactician said.

Gor have also been boosted by the return of Sidney Ochieng who missed the first leg due to a hamstring injury.

Philemon Otieno also returns from a knock alongside Jules Ulimwengu and John Ochieng who didn’t play due to controversial Covid-19 tests in Congo.

“It is good news to have Sidney and Philemon back. We have a tight squad and to have them in contention is a relief as we seek to turn around the results. Ulimwengu and John are also in contention and that gives us depth,” Harrison said.
