Elvis Rupia scored his 17th goal of the season as AFC Leopards rallied from behind to hold KCB to a 1-1 draw in the midweek FKF Premier League match played at Thika Stadium on Wednesday.

Samuel Mwangi gave title hopefuls KCB a narrow first half 1-0 lead after scoring in the 23rd minute.

The game was playing out in favour for the bankers until late in the second half when Rupia broke the banker’s hearts after levelling in the 75th minute to ensure Leopards share the spoils with KCB.

The stalemate left the bankers three points behind leaders Tusker who also dropped points after being held to a barren draw by Nzoia Sugar in Bungoma.

The draws now mean a new champion will be decided on the last day of the season this coming weekend on Saturday.

However, the title is now Tusker’s to lose as they are top with 62 points, three more than the bankers and a greater goal difference of seven goals compared KCB.

For KCB to win the title, they will have to score seven goals against Nairobi City Stars on Saturday and hope Tusker lose in their last tie against Bidco United.
