Zlatan Ibrahimovic to stay at Manchester United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly set to stay at Manchester United.

The Swede's future has been up in the air after he refused to confirm he will sign a contract extension at Old Trafford.

Ibrahimovic, 35, only agreed a one-year deal when he joined United but has enjoyed an excellent season in front of goal.

He has been linked with a blockbuster move to LA Galaxy while a return to Italy with Napoli has been mooted.

But reports in Ibrahimovic's homeland report he will be staying put - although after the win over Middlesbrough, Mourinho confirmed he had "no news" on the situation.

Swedish newspaper Sport Expressen reports Ibrahimovic will sign a new deal for at least another year, with the option for another season after that.

The news comes as a real boost to United, amid fears the talismanic striker could walk away after just one season.

But it is suggested his determination to win the Premier League has swung his decision.

The striker wants to add the title to an incredible trophy haul and believes United will be right in the mix next term.

His agent Mino Raiola was pictured in Manchester this week and confirmed a move to Napoli was not on the cards.

“Zlatan likes the passion of the fans and the mentality of the city, but appreciating Naples and playing for Napoli are two different things.

"In life everything can change, but I think this would be almost impossible."
