English Premier League clubs made $50 million in profit from the January transfer window, the first time they have come out of the football horse-trading in the black, according to a study released Wednesday.
The 20 clubs spent £215 million ($270 million/250 million euros) on new players during the market from January 1 until Tuesday, according to the estimate by the Deloitte consultancy. This is the second highest amount for this window since 2011.
