Which forward is most lethal in the Premier League this season?

some of the Premier Leagues top forwards

The top flight has its fair share of quality marksmen - but who comes out on top when it comes to regularly finding the net?

Sergio Aguero has been the most lethal goalscorer in the Premier League this season.

The Manchester City striker has scored one league goal for every 102 minutes that he has played in 2015-16.

Nobody to have played at least 900 minutes in the division has scored as frequently.

Jamie Vardy has the next best record having averaged a league goal once every 120 minutes.

Everton's Romelu Lukaku has scored 16 goals at a rate of one every 140 minutes.

Harry Kane has averaged a goal every 144 minutes and Riyad Mahrez has averaged one every 145 minutes.

If we look at players who've played fewer than 900 minutes this season then Danny Welbeck comes top of the list.

The seven minutes that he played against Leicester City has been his only game time so far this season, but that's all he needed to grab Arsenal's winner.

It means that Welbeck has technically scored one goal for every seven minutes this season - not even Lionel Messi can claim that.

West Ham's Modibo Maiga has made three appearances this season playing a combined total of 25 minutes. With one goal to his name he's therefore averaged one goal every 25 minutes.

Chelsea's Bertrand Traore has averaged a goal every 38 minutes and Charlie Austin one every 45 minutes.
