John Terry congratulates Petr Cech on Instagram

Chelsea skipper John Terry has congratulated former Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech after the Czech stopper broke the Premier League record for number of clean sheets yesterday.

Cech was in goal for Arsenal as they beat Bournemouth 2-0, thanks to goals from Gabriel Paulista and Mesut Ozil.

It was his 170th top-flight shutout, taking him past ex-England keeper David James.

He kept the vast majority of those clean sheets with Chelsea, having represented the Stamford Bridge outfit for 11 years between 2004 and 2015, before his summer move to the Gunners.

Terry played in front of him at centre-half as the pair formed part of a rearguard which led them to four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups a Europa League and a Champions League during Cech's time at Chelsea.

The former England captain posted on Instagram: "Congratulations to the big man @petrcech on becoming the all time Premier League clean sheet holder. 170 - well done mate."

Cech and Terry will be in opposing dressing rooms next month when Chelsea travel to the Emirates on January 24.
