A school principal shocked an Eldoret court when he narrated how a farmer attempted to force a school official to drink raw sewage.

Lelboinet High School principal, Mr Lazarus Chebii, told the court that the farmer had been invited for a Board of Governors (BOG) meeting in Keiyo to resolve a dispute over a water source.

"But he came with raw sewage and told the BOG chairman he would force it down his throat. He attempted to do it but a female teacher intervened," he said.

Chebii was testifying before Eldoret Senior Resident Magistrate Mr Nathan Shiundu, in a case where Simeon Kiprotich Kattam is accused of stealing a water pump from the school that resulted in a student rampage.

The principal told the court the school suspected Kattam had stolen the pump used to draw water from a stream. The stream, the main water source for the school, runs through his farm.

A pump worth Sh25,000 was recovered but had been damaged and the second one worth Sh5,000 was still missing. Hearing continues.
