Man dated me, my daughter and granddaughter: Turbulent sex life of benga maestro

The veteran benga artiste's a jaw dropping revelation has left tongues wagging with the latest of the man's conquests named after her. The confession has her fans likening the unbelievable episode to the sex scandal in Equatorial Guinea where Baltasar Ebang Engonga had sex with 400 women, among them wives of senior government officials and close relatives. Engonga, the Director General of National Financial Investigation Agency, derived more pleasure by recording videos of the sex sessions, which were uncovered following raids in his home and office in a corruption probe. Back home, in a tell all interview with Inooro FM presenter Jeff Kuria that has left the music industry in shock, the artiste, who says she had been in fifteen marriages so far, revealed that she discovered her partner was dating her daughter when she came across a video of the two having a conversation while naked. The discovery, the artiste recounted, made the matters worse because upon confronting her daughter, she not only confirmed her worst fears but also hurled insults at her, leading to a bitter fall out with the daughter who also plays one-(wo)man guitar. "I was downtrodden. I could not imagine that the love of my life was having an affair with my biological daughter. I was even traumatised when I confronted my daughter, and her response was unprintable insults to me. She said she could not leave my husband," Wangari said and revealed that the two eloped afterwards. Unable to withstand the betrayal, Wangari says she fell sick and was admitted at the hospital as she could not fathom how her lover could be naked with her daughter. "I was so sick and depressed. I could not believe that my pursuit of love had separated me from my child. I imagined that I was dreaming but day by day, the truth sunk that I had lost my man to my daughter," the depressed Wangari, who is known for her debut songs such as Matatu cia gwitu, No nguka, among others narrated. To express her undying affection to man, Wangari three years ago, released a song, titled My Love Chege, which was cast in a wedding gown expressing a sweet love message to a man she said had driven her nuts. "Love is dangerous. You entered in my heart and erased my mind to an extent that I always think about you. Just come near me and give me a love message to cool my heart. Sometimes, I find myself walking while talking to myself and when I realize that people are watching, I pretend that I am singing to prevent them from thinking that I have gone berserk. For sure, your love blocked my eyes that I don't think other men exist. There is no man like you. You are the real match of my flesh," she expresses her feelings in the song. "Come near me and give me a word to cool my heart. You are the one who I was meant for. I will never leave nor forsake you. I will never let the sun set when you are angry. I will respect you and will never embarrass you. I will serve you for the rest of my life. I mean it and I am prepared. Even if you are in America, I will continue loving and cherishing you," she says in the song. According to the artiste, after the bitter fall out between her and her daughter, the two recently reconciled after the daughter came to her crying that she too had been dumped for her daughter. "She came back to me crying. She came and shared with me what had happened to her, revealing the man had done the same thing to her by taking over my granddaughter. I was mesmerized. I was astounded and could not believe that the man who was once my lover, has picked my generation, my daughter and my granddaughter who is actually named after me. I thought of harming him, but I decided that I should leave him to God," Wangari mourns. She says her daughter came accompanied by elders and that she had forgiven her even as she disclosed that her granddaughter has rented a house in Ruiru while her estranged lover works in the United States. Some of the notable figures who reacted on Wangari's revelation included gospel artist Loise Kim who took to social media and wrote: "Unbelievable! He marries the mother, divorces her, takes in the daughter and then the granddaughter. The man is insane. He doesn't have manners; he is just like a dog that gives birth to a puppy and then eats it." Others likened the situation to a man who eats chicken, chicks and eggs. They say such appetite was taboo according to the Agikuyu traditions and that the man was cursed and needed rituals to cleanse himself. Others, however, blamed Wangari and her generation claiming they needed to go into a self-introspection and ask themselves hard questions on how they found themselves attracted to one man. "They need to search themselves as a family and break the barriers of the generational curses. The man has done nothing wrong; it is incumbent to the family to revert the river back to its course," Fred Kangari wrote on his Facebook page. Mwaura Mary Ann, another social media user wrote: "Somethings may have more than meet the eyes. The family should break the spiritual ties for their generational family tree is essential in our lives." Recently, Wangari made yet another revelation to Kameme FM's Muthoni Wa Kirumba. She has been married to more than 15 different men at different points in time, including a time when she snatched the late artist Sam Kinuthia from his family and lived together with him as a husband and wife for seven years. "At that time, whenever I bought my clothes, I also bought another pair for my co-wife. I dumped Kinuthia when he became so sick due to alcoholism that later claimed his life and by the time he was being buried, I was already in another marriage," she explained. Kinuthia was a celebrated artist in the early 2000s and made debut songs such as Nyina Wa Mami, Ann, Muiritu Wa Narok, Reke hituke na mundu, among others. During his time, he was at the level of the late John D Mathew. Wangari, who used to respond to Kinuthia's songs, maintains that it is the search of love that has driven her into many relationships and marriages. "I have never been promiscuous in nature, but I have always cherished relationships and marriage. That is why, in my pursuit of love and marriage, I have been involved in more than 15 different marriages," she said. At one time, Wangari disclosed that she found herself getting saved and having a turban, all in the name of satisfying her husband.
