December 7, 2021: Constable Benson Imbatu shoots dead six people before turning the AK47 rifle on himself. Among the dead are his girlfriend and three Boda Boda riders who were operating at night. He discharged 26 bullets during the shooting spree in the dead of the night.

July 5-7, 2021: Corporal Caroline Kangogo is accused of killing two people, Police Constable John Ogweno in Nakuru and businessman Peter Ndwiga in Juja. A 12-day manhunt for the trained sharpshooter, who is accused of going on a killing spree and luring men to hotel rooms before murdering them, ends with her body being found in her parents’ compound

June 24, 2021: Police Constable Edwin Muhula, attached to Ganga Police Post in Busia County, shoots his wife before pulling the trigger on himself

April 7, 2021: General Service Unit officer Hudson Wasike shoots and kills his wife, fellow officer Pauline Wakasa, after a disagreement; he then turns the gun on himself

March 10, 2021: Corporal Paul Kuria in Endebess, Trans Nzoia County, shoots dead his colleague before turning the gun on himself over a disagreement on his redeployment

January 3, 2021: After an argument with his colleagues at the Kamukunji Police Station in Nairobi, Constable Lawrence Ewoi starts shooting indiscriminately, killing officer Maurine Achieng and leaving George Gitonga with serious leg injuries

December 20, 2018: AP Constable Hourun Kiminjiri shoots dead a bar attendant at the Isiolo Police Camp canteen before turning the gun on himself

June 27, 2018: A police officer in Litein Town, Kericho County, goes on a rampage after allegedly being denied a drink at a bar because he was in uniform. He shot and injured a doctor, banker and waitress before killing himself

November 7, 2010: Police officer Peter Karanja shoots 10 people dead, including two of his colleagues, across three bars in Siakago, Embu County, but runs out of bullets before he could kill himself, forcing him to surrender
