Bahati Bukuku supports husband’s marriage to another woman

African News
 Bahati Bukuku

Tanzanian singer Bahati Bukuku has given her ex-husband the green light to marry another woman.

While revealing that they were divorced in July 2018, the gospel artiste revealed that she has no problem with Daniel Basila marrying another woman, identified as Elizabeth Ngaiza.

Unajua kwanza ndio nazipata habari hizi za mume wangu kuoa lakini sina kipingamizi kwani nilishaachana naye siku nyingi na alinipa talaka rasmi mahakamani Julai mwaka huu, hivyo sioni tatizo kabisa,” (I have no objection since he handed me a divorce in July this year) she said.

However, speaking to Global Publishers, an unnamed source close to the family revealed that the couple have been separate for 14 years.

“Daniel na Bahati walikaa kwenye ndoa kwa muda mfupi sana, walitengana kwa miaka 14, kila mmoja akijua ipo siku watarudiana kwani walikuwa na ndoa ya kanisani lakini baada ya Daniel kushindwa kuvumilia, ameamua kumpa talaka mkewe na sasa ndio amechumbia ili aingie tena kwenye ndoa,” (Daniel and Bahati were married for a very short time, they have separate for 14 years. They thought they will get back together since they had a church wedding but he was unable to bear it hence divorced her) said the source.

According to reports, Basila met Ngaiza, who is also a gospel singer in Dodoma, Tanzania and she initially had no knowledge that he was Bukuku’s ex-husband.

Bukuku and Basila were blessed with one child who sadly passed away.
