It was a dream come true for Milka Cherotich when she met Deputy President William Ruto early this year. Apart from meeting her favourite politician, Ms Cherotich went home Sh100,000 richer after Ruto gave her the money to buy sewing machines for her business.
And when she heard that her ‘friend’ the Deputy President will be issuing a school bus at Friends School Pokoro last week, Cherotich was not about to miss the opportunity to meet and thank her ‘friend.’
Although she struggle to meet the DP’s eye Ruto eventually spotted her and called her by name. After an animated chat, Cherotich walked home happy and with a few wads of notes to boot.
