Jovial came into the limelight after being featured on Genge star Jua Cali’s Jiachilie. The colourful video, which featured sexy ladies, a pool party and Jua Cali acting kingly, gave the artiste impetus to push her talent.
Vastly talented, the Unakosa Raha and Chanda Chema singer is set to drop the video to her latest work, Kila la Heri soon. Jovial, arguably the most promising Mombasa female singer is currently in Nairobi where she is getting a wider exposure and extensive networks to gain national recognition.
Sis P
One has to watch her hit Uchoyo, in which she features Dazlah, to understand that Sis P will go all out when it comes to being expressive. A confident, liberal and hardworking artiste, she recently dropped the ragga-fused Bullet Love featuring rising act Frankie Dee.
She also released the controversial but aptly project named Bonge La Bwana to local acclaim.
Serah Sarah
The smart lady, who at one point made ends meet in Dubai by being a vocalist, knows why she is in music and almost all her moves are well thought-out. After featuring Dazlah in the picturesque hit Cheza Kidogo, she would later release Kayumbet, a song that catapulted her to appearances on national TV.
The Ukirudi singer has also featured Nigerian star Ice Prince on Dance with Me. She is definitely going places.
Ruthalia
She started off as a model who graced a number of fashion events before becoming popular and earning herself the tag, Queen of Mombasa. Ruthalia then started working closely with events’ organisers such as Omtere and then launched her events company that has been hosting many events in Mombasa especially around Likoni.

The Female gospel artiste of the Year 2016 at the prestigious Pwani celebrity Awards is the only gospel artiste in this list. The soulful singer, with hits like Nitayainua Macho and Unaweza Bwana, has managed to gain relevance in an industry that is lagging behind in the gospel frenzy that has taken over Kenya for the last three years.
She bagged the award that was previously won by veteran gospel artiste Christine Ndela.

Just like Trisha, KayChic became popular after gracing the Pulse cover girl page after which she was voted the Face of Mombasa during a competitive modelling annual event held in Mombasa last year.
Right now, KayChic has made her network with the industry big wigs in Nairobi and Mombasa in issues to do with events management. She is one of the popular models in Mombasa at the moment and every celebrity seems to want to use her in promoting their projects.
