Drama! Singer Susumila's ex getting married just a week after his wedding to local actress

Ruth Jimmy wishes her estranged husband Susumila had invited her to his wedding, which was an invite-only, guarded affair that took place in Mombasa a week ago.

She has no beef with her former lover’s new catch, a popular actress and TV girl Kibibi Salim. She does not even want Susumila back. In fact, she has a new lover, a businessman that she is set to wed within weeks!

So if she has a new catch and has opted to move on, why is she washing their dirty linen in public? Why is she still so bitter about the man she lived with for years and had two children with? If they agreed to part ways over a year ago, why is she chasing him now; a married man?

“He is the one who started it by talking to the media and I am simply making my voice heard,” says Ruth, who tells Pulse she is 25 years old- which would mean she had their seven-year-old first born aged 18.

It has been the biggest showbiz story in Coast and after Susumila revealed to Pulse that he had no business with Ruth since they had agreed to part ways, all hell broke loose.

When we talked to Susumila a few weeks back, the artiste insinuated that Ruth was receiving a monthly figure that the two of them had agreed upon for their children’s upkeep, and that she was only making noise because she was desperate. In fact, he dared her to give the children to him if she couldn’t take care of them.

“You know he threatened me two days before his wedding,” Ruth tells Pulse, setting the tone for the interview about the saga that won’t go away.

She goes on: “Susumila is an a**. He is inconsistent with what he tells the media because he is a liar.

He had been sending Sh10,000 every month but he does not do it anymore. I can’t even remember the last time I received a shilling from that liar.”

The two separated sometime last year but had apparently being seeing each other until September this year. The seemingly happy-go-lucky lady insinuated that they were still lovers up to that point.

“That is when I discovered he was seeing Kibibi (Salim) and that they were to get married. I harbour no ill-feelings and I even told him I was happy for them,” she remarks.

Asked why the two of them separated after seven years, Ruth did not have much to say. “Things happen in marriage and I do not have beef with him. Yusuf (as she refers to Susumila) and I shared seven years together and we got married at a customary event four years back.

The problem I have is his arrogance. He needs to be man enough. I am financially stable but I want him to chip in. His arrogance has made my heart hard. Yusuf is so mean that he did not even invite his own father to his wedding,” claims Ruth, saying that she would have attended the wedding if she had been invited.

The lady further revealed that she is set to get married next month in an occasion that “will be bigger than Susumila’s wedding”.

“My fiancé is someone who is loving and understanding. God was probably saving me for him,” she concluded.
