Socialite and entrepreneur Risper Faith recently took to Instagram, offering a candid glimpse into her weight loss journey, marked by both trials and triumphs following a liposuction procedure.

Acknowledging the difficulties of being among the first in Kenya's public eye to openly discuss plastic surgery, Faith shared the hurdles she faced, including ridicule and body shaming. Despite aspiring to inspire others, she admitted, "While I inspired sooo many, spiteful comments on my weight always popped up."

Emotional eating became a coping mechanism during challenging times, leading to a detrimental habit that adversely affected her health. At her heaviest, Faith reached 125kg, prompting a self-realization that change was imperative. Reflecting on her journey, she revealed, "Clothes couldn't fit, my waist trainer couldn't hide anything anymore. I didn't like what I saw in the mirror!"

In response to societal pressures and public scrutiny, Faith decided to take charge, stating, "Simple chores for me became real tasks. I was getting to my breaking point…I needed to do something about it." Her choice to undergo liposuction aligns with a growing trend among celebrities seeking transformative body changes.

Addressing the challenges faced by women in the public eye, Faith emphasized, "Even if 1000 people tell you you look good, and one person shames you, you'll forget the 1000 people who loved you and focus on the one hate comment."

Undeterred by criticism, Faith turned adversity into motivation, declaring, "It's not about what you want, it's about what you believe, and I believed I can and always will be a better version of me." Her weight loss journey, she asserted, "has been the most beautiful challenge I have ever done, and the results make me so DAMN proud of myself."

In a previous interview, Faith candidly revealed that her 2020 liposuction did not yield the desired results due to her failure to adhere to post-operative instructions. The surgery, costing Sh460,000, was financially supported by her husband. In 2022, faced with weight gain once again, Faith openly discussed the possibility of a mini gastric bypass surgery, boldly stating on Instagram, "When I do my mini gastric bypass, it's over for you, bit***."
