As the raging pandemic continues to hit, even the high and mighty are not spared.

The ‘Sorry’ hit maker, Justin Bieber is the latest celebrity to be infected with the disease. This came a day after he began his world tour in San Diego on Friday.

A show at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas that was scheduled for Sunday was been postponed to June 28, according to a statement on social media. The third stop which was to happen on Tuesday was also postponed to a later date.

“Justin is of course hugely disappointed, but the health and safety of his crew and fans is always his number one priority,” the statement said.

A representative for the singer declined to comment on whether other members of the tour have also tested positive for the coronavirus, but the statement about his performance on Sunday being rescheduled did start off by saying it was because of a Covid outbreak within “the team.”

His tour dubbed ‘Justice in Action’, had been previously delayed because of the pandemic. The ultimate plan was to perform in several countries over 13 months while raising awareness about criminal Justice and climate change.

This news came barely hours after Queen Elizabeth, 95, also tested positive for Covid-19. Buckingham Palace confirmed the same on Sunday that "The queen has today tested positive for Covid-19," the Palace said. "Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week."?
