Top artistes among them Nameless and Nonini got overwhelming support from artistes to retain their positions as Performers’ Rights Society of Kenya (PRiSK) officials during the organisation’s annual general meeting a few days ago.
The event that was attended by over 200 members also saw Millicent Ogutu come in as one of the officials. “It was a great meeting that also marked five years since PRiSK was established as a collective management organisation (CMO) representing performers in music and dramatic works,” said Angela Ndambuki, PRiSK’s CEO.
“We also used the meeting to launch the new Distro system for distributing artistes’ royalties,” she added. The system is seen as transparent and efficient as it is connected directly to the internationally recognised Reelforge monitoring system that monitors over 70 radio stations.
