In a glitz ceremony held at the Machakos People’s Park last week, charming TV host Noni Gathoni was named the Goodwill Ambassador for Macha New Year celebrations, a much-publicised extravaganza that will feature tens of stars from across the continent.
Making the announcement, the County Executive for Tourism and Culture Faith Wathome said: “Noni is beautiful, intelligent and represents modern creative enterprising youth.”
“She will represent love, happiness and good times at Macha New Year celebrations,” she added.
The mega celebration will feature a spectacular airshow and sky diving among other entertainment events.
