Did Redsan fight with Producer Dr Sappy over album?

 Redsan and Dr. Sappy

After a friendship that have seen Kenyan-based bongo producer Sappy churn out club-bangers over the years for Redsan, the excruciating audio and video that leaked on Wednesday morning, in what sounds like a fisticuff has shocked many, splitting producers and musicians on each side.

Sappy, who is visibly swollen and with a cut was alongside his brother Gilly. They are accused of refusing to release The Baddest, the latest album by Redsan, allegedly because he had not been paid.

But in the audio, Redsan is accused of being ungrateful, after having the entire album made for him without any payment being made.

According to close sources, the matter was reported at the DCIO Lang’ata, even as the brothers sought medical attention.

Why would there be claims of unpaid dues when Redsan has indicated the production and budget was handled by Sony, and that production was taking place at Mainswitch Production? Why would a friend and the main producer refuse to release music when the artiste had a much-publicised grand launch?

Redsan, already drawn into another saga where he accuses rogue promoters of sabotaging his album launch, did not perform any new song at the event.

Pointing to a simmering standoff, Sappy gave the album launch a wide berth, choosing to be at Kiza while Redsan and Demarco were at B-Club for the after-party.
