Renowned international artist Akon did not only make news in Kenya’s State House with a visit to his ‘new buddy’ President Kenyatta but also in the Republic of Congo.
Akon, according to The Source, performed in a bubble to avoid contracting the Ebola virus. The bubble surfed through the crowd as people cheered and enjoyed his performance.
The five-time Grammy nominee did not take the Ebola situation lightly and was ready to do whatever it takes for his fans. The concert was held to promote peace in the city of Goma, which has been full of violence for the last 20 years.
The show was part of promoting and supporting the United Nations’ International Day of Peace.
