The blue-eyed actor, who made a name for himself by playing Clark Kent on the popular Smallville TV series - a Superman spin-off - was hit with divorce papers from his model-wife Jamie White Welling on Wednesday.
The couple wed at Martha's Vineyard in July 2002 and Tom's Smallville co-stars Kristin Kreuk who played Lana Lang and Michael Rosenbaum who played Lex Luthor were in attendance. The pair have been been married for ten years.
Welling, who's not appeared in any big screen flicks for years, recently wrapped up filming Draft Day which is due out next year. In the film he plays Brian Drew, a failing quarterback whose career is in question. The film also stars Jennifer Garner and Frank Langella.
