20 rules of 'Brothers' Code' that should never be broken

My ‘ninja’ sent me this letter:

“Up to this day I am boiling in bitterness - when I think of what my best; very best childhood friend did to me, the lump in my throat grows bigger, becomes harder to swallow.

Harvey took advantage of Ashley at a time we were facing difficulties in our relationship. He showed her all the photos and messages I sent him about my illicit affairs and sexual escapades with Maggie, Maureen, Immaculate, Ciru, Fiona…

Adding insult to the wound, he did what he has always fantasised; the last thing I wanted to hear – slept with Ashley amidst her emotional trauma and instability.

As I am penning this, I am done with both of them; for good – but mostly Harvey for breaking The Brothers’ Code!”

Similar to my friend’s encounter, Rapper Lil Wayne too recently admitted he was hurt after revelations reached him that Drake slept with his girlfriend when Wayne was serving jail sentence.

What are some of these laws under The Brothers’ Code that perhaps Harvey and Drake were not aware of or rather just chose to ignore; consequentially hurting the ‘gangsters’?

Have a read below so you never cross a ‘ninja’s’ path:

1. Never express or show interest in another man’s woman.

2. Never reveal a man’s secrets when it is told to you in confidence.

3. Never express or show any interest in a friend’s mother, sister or daughter.

5. Keep your lips sealed about your friend’s infidelity. It is none of your business.

6. A man should never run interference on his friend in order to compete for a woman.

7. It is never okay for a man to gossip about another man’s infidelity in the presence of women.

8. Never criticise a man’s wife, fiancé or long-term girlfriend in front of him.

9. When in pursuit of the same woman, if your friend calls her first, you back down.

10. Any man who says I don’t care about the man laws is not a man.

11. Compliments paid to another man should be brief and few.

12. No man should denounce the entire man race publicly to garner favour from women.

13. Only in a select few situations is it okay for a man to cry.

14. Unless it is a military canteen, you never drink from another man’s can or bottle.

15. Never sneak a peak at another man’s package in the urinal or otherwise.

16. Men do not always stare at other men, unless attempting to provoke an argument.

17. No nursing your friend’s woman. Mind your own business and go get your own lady!

18. Never sleep with your friend’s girlfriend, wife, ex, sister, mother or daughter.

19. Never demean your fellow man in the presence of women as it is cruel and dangerous thing.

20. Never let a beautiful woman take advantage of a brother.
