Tomorrow, all roads lead to Nairobi Street Kitchen in Westlands for this year's Pulse Music Video Awards (PMVA) gala powered by Infinix and Jubilee Health Insurance. The awards ceremony, held annually since its inception, is a product of Standard Group PLC and named after Pulse Magazine, Kenya's pioneer and longest-running entertainment magazine.

Now in its 9th edition, an experiential treatment awaits all attendees. From red carpet VIP grand arrivals to smashing performances by top stars, expect every moment to be magical, defining the growing Kenyan entertainment space.

PMVA is the biggest annual music award in the region, celebrating and honouring music creators for their exemplary work. Winners typically receive a prestigious trophy and enjoy full support from Standard Group PLC's entertainment platform throughout the year.

An invite-only black-tie ceremony, the gala will be aired live to millions of KTN viewers and streamed on numerous social media platforms. 13 categories are being competed for, including Best Male Video, Best Female Video, Best Group of the Year, Best Video Vixen, Best DJ, Best Breakthrough Video, Best TikTok, New Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration of the Year, and Best Video Director of the Year.

“We are glad to be part of this great event. Jubilee Health Insurance is the leading health insurance company and we chose PMVA to support young people,” said Monica Chege, Head of Marketing at Jubilee Health Insurance.

“We are not just here to support artists but everyone. With health insurance, we can provide peace of mind where you don't have to worry about what to do when you or your loved ones get sick. We want you to focus on your career or talent to pursue your dreams. For this PMVA partnership, a lucky winner will walk away with a free health cover for a year, worth up to one million shillings,” added Monica.

According to Infinix Kenya Brand Manager Michael Zeng, music isn't just a form of entertainment; it's a heartbeat connecting Kenyans. It's the anthem of their hustle, the soundtrack to their joy, and the fuel for their dreams.

“At Infinix Mobile, we're proud to support the Pulse Music Video Awards – a celebration of raw talent, artistic expression, and the vibrant music scene that defines Kenya's creativity and culture,” says Zeng.

“We believe that, like your favourite song, a smartphone should do more than just entertain. It should inspire and empower you to create, share, and amplify your voice. The Pulse Awards aren't just about trophies but about recognizing the passion and dedication that fuels Kenyan music. It's about nurturing a platform where creativity explodes, stories unfold, and inspiration takes flight. By championing these artists, we at Infinix are not just celebrating their present but investing in the future of Kenyan music – a future filled with diverse voices, groundbreaking beats, and stories that resonate with the world,” he says.

Over 50 nominees are competing in the 13 categories, including Femi One, Bahati, Boutross, Maandy, Babushka Kenya, Ndovu Kuu, Princess Recho, Sofiya Nzau, Wakadinali, Ssaru, Bridget Blue, Breeder Lw, Mbogi Genje, and Spider Clan.

The gala, highlighted with fashion trends and styles, will feature surprise performances and appearances by entertainers across the creative scene.
