Cardi B shuts down rumours that she is back together with Offset

After the estranged celebrity couple, American rappers Cardi B and Offset spent Christmas together, fans assumed that a reconciliation was in progress.

But days into the speculation, Cardi has put the rumours to rest and insisted that they are not back together, per her actions on social media.

“The former couple were together in several videos posted to their Instagram Stories, featuring them opening presents and hanging with their little ones (which, naturally, has prompted rumors of a reconciliation),” Cosmopolitan Magazine reported on the brief holiday reunion.

Cardi hinted that she is not back together with the father of her children by simply liking a tweet that implied news of a reconciliation is false.

Page Six reported: “A viral tweet by @TheePopFeed claimed Wednesday, 'Cardi B has officially took Offset back after 12 days.' A fan then responded with a clip of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Kandi Burruss telling co-star Porsha Williams, “You just made that up.””

The report added: “Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the 'Be Careful' rapper, 31, “liked” the video, all but confirming the original tweet was incorrect.”

Fans in the comment section of X and Instagram went on to debate on the state of Cardi and Offset’s relationship, with some lauding their co-parenting as others remained convinced that the pair have rekindled their relationship.

Cardi B confirmed the split from her rapper beau early this month, in an Instagram live session where she opened up about the situation.

“I’ve been single for a minute now but I have been afraid to like- not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world,” she said on the live session, adding, “But I feel like today has been a sign. The last time I got on Live, I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now. I just took it as a sign.”

The Bodak Yellow rapper added: “I wanna start 2024, like, fresh, open,” she added. “I don’t know. I’m curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah, I’m excited.”
