TikTok has unveiled the nominees for the upcoming 2023 TikTok Top Creator Awards, and Kenya is making waves with its content creators dominating nominations in seven out of eight categories. 

The stage is set for a spectacular event on February 9, 2024, in Johannesburg, where Sub-Saharan Africa's most exceptional TikTok talents will be celebrated.

Kenyan content creators have proven their mettle, securing nominations in various categories alongside formidable talents from other countries. 

Here's a breakdown of the Kenyan nominees and their competitors:

Sports Creator of the Year

Boxtoboxregista (Kenya) competes against Nezcatt (South Africa) and Stoneavenuee (Nigeria). The Kenyan sports channel by passionate fans has created a hub that resonates across borders.

Gaming Creator of the Year

Someothergirl (Kenya) faces off with Khalamanja (Nigeria) and Tacticalceza (Nigeria). Samantha, also known as _someothergirl, challenges stereotypes and proudly represents Kenya's gaming community.

Entertainment Creator of the Year

Lifestory328 (Kenya) contends with Sachi_himes96 (South Africa) and Elsuizzanne (Nigeria). The dynamic duo of Friday Njeri and Eugene Kinyanjui has captured the hearts of TikTok users with their engaging life stories.

Lifestyle and Education Creator of the Year

Foodstakenya (Kenya) competes with _iremide (Nigeria) and SiyaBunny (South Africa). Shaheed Ali Khan, popularly known as Sak, takes TikTok users on a culinary journey through Kenya's diverse food scene.

In 2022, Kenyan creators left an indelible mark on TikTok's global stage, claiming top honors in the Top Creator Awards.
