Diamond Platnumz emerged victorious at the MTV EMA Awards, securing the coveted title of 'Best African Act.'

The Tanzanian sensation triumphed over stiff competition, outshining Nigeria's Burna Boy, Asake, Tyler ICU, and Libianca. Adding to the celebration, Nigeria's own Rema walked away with the award for the best in Afrobeats.

Diamond Platnumz's win at the MTV EMA 2023 adds to his growing collection of accolades, having previously clinched two awards in the categories of Best African Act and Best Worldwide Act at previous MTV EMAs.

The highly anticipated MTV EMA 2023 ceremony, initially scheduled for November 5, 2023, faced an unexpected cancellation on October 19, 2023. However, the day of the originally planned event brought excitement as MTV unveiled the list of winners for the 2023 EMA (European Music Awards).

Taylor Swift took center stage, walking away with an impressive three awards.

The release of the winners' list occurred through MTV EMA's official website, accompanied by the following announcement: "As fans worldwide voted for their favorite categories, including best artist, best song, and more, MTV is honoring the following artists with the 2023 MTV EMAs."
