Bernice Saroni denies fuelling Edday, Samidoh split

When Edday Nderitu and Mugithi star Samidoh Muchoki went separate ways, their ‘online in-laws’ had a lot to say about their split.

While some accused the singer of ‘embarrassing’ his wife, others said there was a third party who fuelled the fire.

Enter Bernice Saroni, an elegant businesswoman who resides in the US. During one of Samidoh’s tours, several blogs reported that she hosted him and many wondered what their relationship was.

In an interview with Oga Obinna, Saroni, who is currently in Kenya on vacation, dismissed claims that she dated Samidoh, maintaining that it was purely business.

"We are family, Samidoh is married. I don't date married men, and I don't date family. It's a taboo.

"You know Kenyans nimecome kujua they are very…how do I even call that..I think Kenya side chick ni wengi sana, and I think huku people don't value relationships. So the moment they just see a lady and a man they believe what they want to believe,” she said.

Saroni added that she does not have beef with Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu but said she does not support the idea of side chicks.

“I don't have a beef with her (Nyamu). Why should I have beef with her? I am not Samidoh's wife. Why should I have beef with her? I don't like side chicks."

She also added that she did not advise Edday to leave Samidoh, although they (Saroni and Edday) are good friends.

"When Edday came to the US, Samidoh posted on his page. The husband posted on his page that the family was going on vacation. How did I tell Edday to let go of her marriage?"

In late July, Edday confirmed that she left Samidoh, clarifying that she is not in any polygamous union.

Through a post on her socials, Edday, said she opted out of her marriage with the Mugithi star over what she termed as a toxic environment.

She further added that she had to protect her children and give them the best life.
