Ever since Kenyan entertainer Akothee went public about her mental struggles in recent months, a lot has been said about her marriage to Denis Schweizer.

Some even said the lovebirds had parted ways after Akothee discovered his true identity.

Irked by these rumours, she took to social media to rant, warning those meddling in her business.

Further, the outspoken entertainer shared Shweizer’s passport to prove that he is from Switzerland.

“Denis Eduard Schweizer was born and raised in Switzerland, Bern in 1988, Pakistan ni wewe na njaa ya kwenu.

“His mother and family live in Switzerland… I have met all his family members; his mother is such a sweet, beautiful single mother. I named my husband Mr Omosh to protect him from online rubbish before I introduced him online,” she wrote.

Akothee also said marriage does not define her as she was a brand before marriage. She attributed her success to hard work and determination, sounding a warning to those tarnishing her name.

“The brand stood out on resilience, persistence, honesty, discipline hard work and 10% of Talent. Mimi si Akothee wa so and so. It's brand Akothee.

“So anyone touching this brand on their pages, be it a fan, wannabees, AKOTHEES Sycophants, media house Be careful. I have all the rights to protect my brand and you will have to comply,” she said.

Akothee also hit out at those asking for her hand in marriage, advising them to first put their lives in order.

“Get a job first before you hang those useless placards, I want to marry Akothee, you want to marry her with your what?

“You want to marry Akothee or you want to be adopted by AKOTHEE. Hiyo ni Njaa,” she said.

In April this year, Akothee set the record straight regarding her past relationships, stating that she has been married just once before.

Unlike what many said when she tied the knot with Schweizer, Akothee said some of the men she has been linked with were not her lovers but people she hired for her music videos.

She clarified that the other relationships she has been in never made it to the aisle thus should not be counted as formal unions.

“And for my new followers don't fall into the trap of jealous people. I have only been married once with relationships that didn’t make it to the aisle.

“This is my second marriage. You can't create fake news and call me a role model to your children. These are vixens [sic] in my music videos. Go subscribe to my YouTube channel and watch my songs before you embarrass yourselves,” she wrote, listing the songs they featured in.
