Days after Kenyan entertainer Akothee took to social media to open up on her struggles for the past few months, singer Bahati has assured her of his support.

The ‘Huyu’ singer lauded Akothee as a Kenyan treasure, saying he wants to see her happy.

“Madam Boss, Mum and My Friend @Akotheekenya ... No Public Opinion Can Define You... You are Iconic and a Treasure in Our Kenyan Industry, We Love You.

“Naona Maneno Mingi online but Sijaaalii and I need no Clarification as long as you're happy that's what matters Most!!! Your well-being is more important…Just to let you know Ata Kesho Ukituita Harusi ingine Tutakuja Mapeeeemaaa juu Furaha Yako ndio Furaha Yetu,” wrote Bahati.

Earlier this week, Akothee uploaded a picture of herself in a bright pink suit on Instagram, accompanying it with a lengthy caption that all was not well.

The singer told her 3.5 million Instagram followers that she is currently undergoing therapy after “finding out the truth and some ugly stuff.”

She wrote: “Went days without food and no sleep, questioning and answering myself, it has been very heavy some days, a night will just break into a day with me looking outside the window guessing at nothing,” adding, “I would be shaking for reasons I can't explain, and just remember, I still had work to do, a family and an empire to protect. I still had to put on a strong face and entertain my fans.”

The singer then detailed how close family members and loved ones have been there for her during the trying times, mentioning her mum, her children and even her ex Nelly Oaks.

In a separate post, a tough-talking Akothee said she does not need advice at this time, warning those who were reaching out to her for gossip.

She stressed that she was fully focused on her projects and would not entertain any questions about her relationship.

“I have passed the place where I needed advice, sympathy or explanations. If I never reached out to you for advice or a shoulder to lean on, kindly don't call me..

“The news you have that is all, those calling me constantly just know you are a distraction and I don't like it I am in the middle of meetings, what do you want us to talk about? You are not calling because you care, you are calling because you want first-hand information. dont call…do not ask me questions unrelated to what I have come to do in your offices I have very limited time,” she said.
