Eric Omondi, Lynne welcome first child

Comedian Eric Omondi and his fiancée Lynne are the newest parents in town. The two lovebirds welcomed their first child together on August 9, 2023, and are over the moon.

Sharing the exciting news with their fans on social media, the self-proclaimed president of comedy posted a picture of his family with the caption, “Princess Kyla Omondi.”

Following the news, thousands of fans and fellow celebrities from all over the world flocked the comedian’s comment section with congratulatory messages.

The couple first announced they were expecting a child back in June, news that got netizens quite excited.  

In the post, Eric revealed that he was more than elated to have a child of his own after waiting patiently for 41 years.

“It has taken me 41 years but finally God has blessed me with my own. The Fruit of my loins. I feel like Sarah of Abraham of the Bible, she waited all her life for a child of her own. Thank you, baby, for making me a father. And to God thank you for returning our baby to us,” he wrote.

According to Lynne, she deliberately chose to keep her pregnancy under wraps due to personal reasons until she felt comfortable enough to share the news with her family and friends.  

“My phone blew up after I announced my pregnancy because I have been hiding in plain sight,” she wrote.

In November 2022, the couple shared on social media that they had lost their pregnancy after Lynne suffered a miscarriage.

“Last night was one of the longest nights of my life. We fought for over 5 hours to try and save our little angel but God had other plans. We never met you but we sure felt you and will forever love you. Respect to all women, no man on earth has that kind of strength. Lynne, stay strong. It is well,” Eric shared.

Speaking on the matter for the first time Lynne expressed her hurt while expressing her love for her child even though she never got the chance to be with them.

“My angel, I still can’t believe you’re gone. I’m thankful I got to have you for those 8 weeks you were inside me. I’m so sorry I won’t be able to see your sweet face or massage your tiny feet. I will forever love you,” she said.

Engagement

On February 14, 2023, Eric proposed to Lynne with a gorgeous one-of-a-kind engagement ring that the 21-year-old proudly flaunted online for everyone to see.

“New chapter same book. Words can’t express how happy I am, I love you Babyyy @ericomondi,” she posted.
