Content creator Chebet Ronoh has opened up about her struggle with alcoholism and her sobriety journey.

She has started a series on her Instagram account where she talks about alcohol addiction and her recovery from it.

This week, Ronoh revealed that she is now nineteen days sober, aiming for ninety days and can’t wait to be years sober.

She said that the series is mainly for alcohol addicts, binge drinkers and for people who want to be sober.

“This is specifically for people struggling with alcoholism, binge drinking or just want to be sober, the desire to be sober.”

The public figure said that she hopes to shed some light on the issue based on her personal experience with alcohol and also from what she has seen from people around her and the youth as well.

She said that alcohol has been so socially accepted despite how destructive it is. She revealed that she has suffered both short-term and long-term effects which put her in rehab twice and in hospital a few times.

It also ruined her relationship and made her mental health issues worse. She confirmed that she was already suffering from mental health issues but adding alcoholism on top of that made it worse.

In the first episode of the series, Ronoh tells her fans about what made her start drinking and what led her to her sobriety journey.

In the video, she tells her viewers that alcohol is damaging and is toxic to the brain no matter the amount of intake and offers advice to people struggling with alcoholism.

She also shared some of the benefits of being sober and said that she’s been happy since she stopped drinking.

“I always feel happy every time I’m not drinking like genuinely I’m happy, my mental health is way better, I’m able to make better decisions, my relationships always improve every time I’m sober,” she said.

The public figure said that she started the series to educate people on the effects of alcohol, to change people’s perspective on sobriety and to help better the lives of people struggling with alcoholism.
