Social media influencer Amber Ray this week emphasized the importance of wealth in a relationship saying she is ambitious and loves men who are self-driven.

In an interview with Standard Entertainment, Amber, who recently welcomed baby Africanah, said Africans need to change their mentality as far as wealth is concerned.

"Money does not impact my relationship, my relationship impacts money! Money is my second name and it goes where I go.

"I am all about goals and if you cannot score then I am not a fan. Let Africans stop underestimating the power of wealth. Some mindsets need to change," she said.

Amber was quick to point out that her fiance Ken Rapudo is everything she wants in a man and lauded his support throughout her pregnancy.

"I call him my knight. He captured and stole my heart. Ken has always had my back since the first day. I always advise ladies out there, to get yourself a bonafide man who can even dare to throw you a marriage proposal twice, an authentic knight.

"We both found what healthy love is by developing the type of safety that you do not get in other relationships and being honest. That type of love gifted us baby Africanah," she said.

On whether they rushed things (pregnancy and engagement), Amber said people's paths are different and she is not willing to tolerate negative talk from naysayers.

She added that they are taking life a step at a time and will give their baby all the love she deserves. Asked whether she intends to walk down the aisle soon, Amber did not give much away but hinted it might happen.

"Baby Africanah means the world to me, it has been a few days and I am already a subscribed addict of her presence. My family is super excited about this new light and I cannot wait to see what unfolds with her in my energy.

"The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more. The kind of love that plants the fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. I will soon walk down that aisle and I will stay down that road for the rest of my life," she said.

Amber further stated that she will balance between her duties as a mother and an influencer and will give her best in both.

"The second day after my baby was born I was already back to work. When I said money follows me, I meant it!

"When it comes to work, I have the energy of 10 men and when it comes to motherhood, I do not play mum, I just am and what I am is enough for my children," she added.
