Why funeral home wants to sue Pastor Ezekiel

Amid the raging controversy, political leaders in Kilifi are worried about Pastor Ezekiel Oduor of New Life International. Speaking during a debate in the National Assembly, Kilifi North MP Owen Baya said the church is a ticking time bomb.

''Pastor has been selling holy water to our mothers and children to an extent that when they go to the hospital they don't want to take drugs'' said Owen, adding that it I just a matter of time before people start to die.

''Our children take white hankies to exam rooms to cover their heads as they sit for examinations believing that they will pass exams without much revision,'' he said.Management of Milele Funeral Home released a statement demanding that Ezekiel apologizes for defamation after he said that he will close their operations because they are the reason why people are dying in the area. Miller Funeral Home is located about two kilometres from Ezekiel's church. In a video clip going viral on social media, Ezekiel claimed that the funeral home has been sacrificing people in order to get business.

'Hapo mahali kumeandikwa Millele Funeral Home, nilienda nikatupa chupa tatu za living water na wakafunga hiyo mortuary," he saidIn a statement, the funeral home disputed the allegations, saying they are still in operation.Meanwhile, Pastor Ezekiel's aide, Samuel Dungah, has confirmed that they bought Paul Makenzi's TV station but later abandoned it after they realized that Makenzi had a debt he was yet to settle with the bank.

"We really bought the Star TV station but later abandoned it because we realized he owes the bank a large amount of money."He also disputed rumours that linked Pastor Ezekiel to Mackenzi and said Ezekiel has helped the community with food and taking children from poor families to the school.
