Nduru Man: I have not been in jail, I am battling Leukemia

Content creator Ian Asunya, popularly referred to as Nduru Man has revealed that he is battling Leukemia, cancer of the body's blood-forming tissues.

Speaking during an interview with 2mbili, Nduru Man denied claims that he has been locked up since he went to shout outside State House in 2022.

"I do not like telling everyone about what's happening in my life but I am suffering from Leukemia...there are some things I can do but it is a risk.

"At times I cannot create content due to the effects of the disease...it's been four months since I went shouting in the streets. I am often at home," he said.

Nduru Man, however, admitted that his job comes with its fair share of challenges as he was once detained by security personnel at State House who wondered where he got the guts to pull such a move.

All was not rosy when he went to the Deputy President's residence in Karen as he was locked up for a day.

Asked whether he is disappointed that he is yet to be offered a job as his counterpart Priscilla wa Imani (Whistling woman), Nduru Man said he will patiently wait for his turn.

"That is the nature of life...I will keep doing what I do," he said.

Ever since she became an online sensation, Priscilla has received several endorsement deals, including one with a local real estate firm.

She encouraged Nduru Man to keep doing what he does best as his efforts will be rewarded in the near future.

"He will certainly get an opportunity soon. I would like to tell him not to give up," she said.

The two met for the first time this week and did what they do best; whistle and shout.

Priscilla, who doubles up as a gospel singer, said she is 100 per cent normal and she whistles in the streets to put food on her table.
