Socialite Vera Sidika has sensationally claimed that she is the most 'Googled' celebrity in Kenya, more than President William Ruto.

In one of the snippets of reality show The Real Housewives of Nairobi, Vera, 33, gives fans a glimpse of what to expect when RHO premieres on February 23, 2023.

"I am 33 years old but I feel 16. I am also a public figure and I am also the most googled celebrity in this country, more than the president," she said.

However, according to Google Trends, the three most popular personalities in Kenya in 2022 were; DP Rigathi Gachagua, Martha Karua and George Wajackoyah in that order.

Others who featured in that list included Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, Kalonzo Musyoka, Ezekiel Machogu, Juliana Cherera, Wafula Chebukati, Sabina Chege and sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala.

From the list, it is evident that Kenyans were interested in politics, considering 2022 was an election year.

Looking at the last three months, Kenyans were interested in the World Cup held in Qatar. From the numbers, there was a lot of curiosity around Morocco and Croatia, the two underdogs who made it to the semi-finals of the continental showpiece.

In the field of Arts and Entertainment, the most searched name was Kirstie Louise, an American actress, who plays Rebecca Howe in the sitcom Cheers, followed by Chris Brown.

Interestingly, in the last 30 days, Kenyan TikTok sensation has been a person of interest, perhaps due to her recent appointment to the Talanta Hela Creatives Technical Committee.

Vera was, however, a person of interest to Kenyans in October 2022, after she duped the nation into thinking that she had undergone surgery to remove butt implants.

This fuelled a debate online but a few days later the socialite dropped a song after promising her followers that she would share the second part of her supposed Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) reversal.

Some of the terms associated with Vera's search included implants, surgery and photograph (a photo of her botched surgery).

President Ruto, on the other hand, was a trending topic between August and September, due to the General Elections.

Some of the topics associated with the President included; inauguration, portrait, cabinet secretaries, debate and manifesto.
