Our spouses should not be victimized, Karen Nyamu tells Senate

News
 Nominated senator Karen Nyamu.

After the infamous video that did rounds on social media which made Nominated senator Karen Nyamu call it quits with her baby daddy Mugithi Sensation Samidoh, she has said that women face double standards in their daily dealings.

Earlier today, Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza survived the impeachment that was brought to the floor of the senate.

The Senate Special Committee, led by Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, said that none of the allegations raised against Governor Mwangaza by Meru County Assembly Members could be substantiated or proved by the Senate.

On the floor of the senate, Nyamu congratulated Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza for surviving the impeachment.

"First of all I want to congratulate the committee and I am a happy and proud woman for the job they did...," she said.

She further went ahead to caution MCAs to use the impeachment as the last resort but still insisted that women leaders should be treated as equals to the men tasked with the same responsibilities comparing her recent Dubai scenario as to what befell Kawira.

"The matter of first gentlemen is going to be a normal occurrence going forward. A lot of us women have ambitions to be governors. Our spouses should not be victimized. We have witnessed double standards when it comes to women leadership," she said before saying that she is a recent victim causing an uproar of laughter from her fellow senators.

Although the Nominated senator has become the talk of town due to her carefree attitude, she later composed herself, and appeared remorseful the following morning and apologized for causing drama at a concert in Dubai where his baby daddy, Mugithi star Samidoh was performing.

During a live session with her Facebook fans the following morning, Nyamu appeared remorseful and apologized to Samidoh, his wife Eddah Nderitu, and their fans. She claimed that she was intoxicated and did not have control over herself.

The lawmaker had walked on stage as Samidoh was singing and started dancing but did not last as she was hurriedly huffed out of the stage by security guards.
