Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and her husband Kamotho Waiganjo, together with their sons, spent Christmas at the coast and even went out fishing.

The governor and Waiganjo were both dressed in white while their sons wore shorts, obeying the coastal heat.
“Enjoying family time at the Kenya Coast. Merry Christmas from our family to yours,” she wrote.
Elsewhere, Kenyans thronged places of worship to mark the birth of Jesus Christ as others travelled upcountry to celebrate the day with extended family.
In Nairobi, Uhuru Park was a hive of activity as families enjoyed the refurbished facility and hawkers made a kill as drinks and snacks were in high demand thanks to the favourable weather conditions.
