Social media has been awash this week with talk of cosmetic procedures to alter the body, including the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and liposuction.
This is after Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika claimed that she had undergone a BBL reversal surgery after developing complications.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko weighed in on the matter asking ladies to desist from altering their bodies, cautioning them against the side effects of such procedures.
While commenting on a 'before and after' photo of Vera, Sonko said ladies should be satisfied with how they look.
"Huyu Vera Sidika maskini karibu akufe. Wacheni nitumie lugha sanifu kuwatahadharisha Wanawake: Tafadhalini ridhikeni na maumbile muliyopewa na Maulana wacheni kufanya ukarabati wa vinyambio vyenu. Alamsiki."

Earlier, businesswoman Risper Faith told off social media critics who claimed her bum is fake, saying she has never undergone BBL surgery.
Through a post, the Risper Faith Creations founder, however, admitted to having gone for liposuction, a cosmetic surgery for removing excess fat from under the skin by suction.

"Let me school you today. What is liposuction? It is a technique in cosmetic surgery for removing excess fat from under the skin by suction. And yes I had liposuction to remove excess fat from my stomach after giving birth, I never had any surgery on my ass... it's real lol, kindly stop DMing me that am next lol..." she wrote.
Responding to a fan who seemed convinced her butt is fake, Risper assured that she will never develop complications related to butt implants because her behind is real.
"Zangu mtangoja sana. Ni real by the way," she commented.
