Tanzanian singer and songwriter Zuchu believes her songwriting prowess should only be compared to male artistes.

Through a tweet, the Fire singer said she believes female artistes cannot match up to her skills.

"Niwashukuru Wazazi wangu ni kwa ajili yenu na Uwezo wa m/mungu tu. Kwa uandishi wangu yafaa kuwekwa kwenye ligi za wanaume wadada wenzangu ntawaonea tu respectfully," she wrote.

She further stated that she will release two songs before the end of the year, hinting that she has penned lyrics for some male musicians.

"My pen game hard I could write for a guy and not notice...releasing two songs this month. Kim kayndo" she added.

In a previous interview with the Standard, Zuchu's mother, veteran Taarab singer Khadija Kopa, described her as a talented musician who has what it takes to conquer the entertainment industry.

In April 2020, Zuchu made her first official entry into the music industry and has since then released an EP with seven songs. She has also done collaborations with Diamond and Rayvanny.

She also made headlines this year as the first female East African singer to reach over 2 million subscribers on YouTube in the music industry.

"Thank you so much, 2,000,000 million subscribers on YouTube. First East African female artist to ever reach this milestone! The 4th female artist in Africa.

"Mind you, within just two years in the music industry. God is good. We cannot stop now, we have a life to live, a country to represent, and a point to prove. Let's keep pushing," noted Zuchu.

Some of her popular songs include; Sukari (79 million views), Cheche (31 million views), Litawachoma (26 million views) and Nyumba Ndogo (23million views).
