Nandy responds to claims she paid Mwijaku to attack Zuchu

Tanzanian songbird Faustina Charles Mfinanga alias Nandy has brushed off allegations that she paid Tanzanian radio presenter Mwijaku to attack and discredit singer Zuchu.

This is after a series of leaked audio clips emerged in which a female voice believed to be that of Nandy, is heard instructing Mwijaku on how to compose a message that will discredit Zuchu over a past endorsement deal that she (Zuchu) declined.

Hapo Mwijaku kwenye, Kwamba walikuwa wasanii wangapi akiwemo Zuchu, andika hivi …hiyo itoe hiyo point, andika tu hakuna mtu atapewa dili la hela nyingi akatae, especially la pombe, isionekane hivyo maana watajua tumeongea details za ndani,” said the female voice in the leaked audio clips that have since gone viral.

In yet another audio clip, the same female voice is heard begging the Clouds FM Presenter to support her in ‘killing’ whatever it is that the two were talking about.

Mwijaku. Mwijaku kwesho niulie niulie,” said the female. Shortly after this clip emerged on social media, Nandy went to the comment section to sarcastically brush off the clip.

“…daaaah mbonaaa kuuliwa…,” Nandy commented.

In a twist, presenter Mwijaku has come out to claim that Nandy was ready to pay him approximately Sh91,000 for the job. In his statement, Mwijaku further claims that he declined the offer as it would not sit well with him.

It will be remembered that just last year, Zuchu turned down a lucrative deal due to her religious beliefs and values.

"Nisingekuwa nawatendea haki wale watu. Unapotangaza kinywaji ni lazima ukinywe na mimi sio mtumiaji wa vileo. Hiyo dili ilikuwa kama robo bilioni (It would not have been fair to the client. When you advertise a drink, you have to consume it. I do not consume alcohol, the deal was worth Tsh250 million)," Zuchu said.
