Barely a day after an explosive interview where she highlighted some intimate details of her marriage, Bonfire Adventures MD Sarah Kabu is now asking for forgiveness from her husband Simon.
Through a post on social media, Sarah stated that she was in distress and perhaps should not have said some things online.
She added that she has learnt her lesson and asked for prayers as they try to sort their issues offline.
“Sorry my Fam. when I was in distress I said things that I shouldn’t have said online and thus misleading. Life is a lesson and we learn everyday.
“Forgive me Simon. Let’s sort our issues off-line. All is well. Please keep us in prayers,” she wrote.
In a tell-it-all interview with Christine Lewis, Sarah said it got to a point she could no longer overlook the troubles she was facing in her marriage and had to be honest with herself.
“50 or 70 percent has been what you see on social media. Very blissful. We have had our good times but we have also had our bad times which we do not show on social media.
“Sometimes when I meet people they tell me that I inspire them and we are ‘couple goals but I wished I had simple and peaceful unions like theirs,” she said.
Sarah revealed that they had marital issues for around 10 years and one of her resolutions this year was to be true to herself and tackle issues head-on, including peaceful separation and a co-parenting plan.
She wanted to do this quietly but considering their heavy presence on socials, news leaked that there was trouble in paradise.
The Bonfire Adventures MD maintains that she believes in marriage and it works, and would not want what has happened to them lead to failure of other marriages.
She admitted that her husband was good to her and like any human being, they both had their weaknesses.
Last week in a Q and A session with his followers on Instagram, Simon Kabu disputed claims that his marriage was on the rocks.
The session began with one fan diving straight into it.
“Is it true the rumours about your marriage?” the unanimous fan wrote.
Kabu responded with a video clip.
“Ah, what rumours?” he said.
“Is it true you and Sarah?” another asked, to which Kabu slyly responded: “True what?”
Another fan asked whether he has a side chick, and Kabu quickly shut that narrative, stating that he has “one wife.”
“Wee apana! Happily married to one wife.” He wrote.
The next skeptic was bold enough to ask whether Kabu is considering taking a second wife, to which Kabu vehemently denied.
Another fan asked Kabu why he cheated and he wrote back: “That can never happen.”
