Tanzanian Bongo singer Rajab Abdul Kahali, alias Harmonize, has revealed that he is benefiting more from his current relationship than he did in his previous one.
Harmonize, who is dating an Australian identified as Brianna, said that since he met her, she has been instrumental in helping him perfect his English.
Speaking at an interview, Konde Boy, as he prefers to be addressed, admitted that his spoken English is not the best but he understands the language.
“Mimi siyo mtaalam sana kwenye Kingereza ila mtu akiongea namuelewa. Kingereza siyo lugha yetu, lakini cha msingi ni kujiamini tu.”
Proud of his roots and upbringing, the Atarudi hitmaker confessed that he is from a very humble background with little education and English was not the language of instruction at his school.
“Mimi nimetokea mtaani, elimu yangu ni darasa la saba, sijaenda kozi yoyote ya kizungu.”
According to him, his girlfriend has helped him perfect and master his English more than his ex-Italian girlfriend who also struggled with the language.
“Mpenzi wangu Briana na yeye pia ananisaidia sana, siyo kama ilivyokuwa kwa Sarah kwa sababu Sarah na yeye Kingereza chake hakikuwa kizuri sana… (My girlfriend Briana has been really helping me a lot unlike Sarah because her English was also not good)” he said.
His confession comes barely two months after word went out that he had broken up with Briana. Fueling the rumours on social media, Harmonize took to Instagram to share that he was single – barely three months after introducing Briana to his fans.
“Back to the single life again,” he shared on his Insta stories.
