As the country's political temperatures begin to rise, it is now becoming apparent that public figures will declare an interest in joining the race. The latest revelation is from media personality and businessman Davidson Ngibuini popularly known as DNG.

In a response text message to Standard Entertainment, the former gospel artist confirmed that he would seek an elective post.

"It's leadership I'm seeking from my people," he replied.

The talented media personality has previously juggled the industry as a radio and TV personality to an accomplished events emcee before settling for business.

"I'm going to the neck of the woods in my hood, Golf course, where I grew up."

He further reveals that he will be vying for a member of the county assembly in the Woodley, Kenyatta, Golf course ward.

This was after pictures of him gesturing meaningfully emerged on social media while accompanied by Dagoretti South MP John' KJ' Kiarie and other leaders atop a campaign track which he captioned "fellow Kenyans, I am ready to serve."

He, however, didn't immediately declare his political camp though it's clear to note that he is often spotted flanked by UDA branded persons and leaders linked to the deputy president William Ruto's camp.

Given his close relations with Deputy President's son Nick, it would not come as a surprise to see him aligning himself to the hustler's camp. Part of his initiatives includes Hustle yako, a platform empowering the youth in business.

Despite the many hats he wears in the entertainment industry, Ngibuini has earned himself enviable academic credentials as a holder of a master's degree in International Business Administration.

In 2004, he won a KORA award for the best male gospel artist. However, he later hit the headlines after a nasty split ending a marriage that only lasted nine months before picking himself up in matters of love.

Recently he has been a vocal activism crusader and frequently makes known his political stand.
