Why I broke up with Nviiri – Elodie Zone

News
Nviiri The Storyteller and Elodie Zone.

Popular YouTuber Elodie Zone has opened up on her relationship with singer Nviiri The Storyteller, after months of speculation.

In a series of posts on her Instagram stories, the YouTuber revealed she was no longer dating the singer, adding that they only met in Coast.

Confirming her breakup from Nviiri, Elodie said, “I want to make it clear that I am not dating Nviiri. We just met in coast, but the reason that I left him is the same reason that has come up as we are “respectful friends.”

Elodie, 24, stated she works 15 hours a day to make enough money to increase her confidence and support her people.

“I have worked to damn hard as women to love myself. To be confident. To stack my money. To support those around me. I am tired of ‘well known men’ taking advantage of women because we are focused, intelligent and authentic. I’m 24 and work 15 hours a day, everyday. I pray, meditate, journal, work, clean and respect my body. I have decided that I don’t owe any boy anything,” wrote Elodie.

Physical abuse

Still on her Instagram stories, during a QnA session with her fans titled ‘I’m done acting “proper,” the YouTuber disclosed that she suffered physical abuse in her past relationships.

When one fan asked what kind of abuse she encountered in her previous relationships, Elodie explained, “I’ve hidden bruises from my past two relationships. I’ve felt stupid and have been undermined. I’ve been told to keep quiet.

“I’ve been told to stop speaking up on social media cause I’ll look like I’m “acting out.” I’ve been told that depression means you overact... etc… all are total nonsense. I want men and women in my position to raise their voices! We may be small but our voices cannot be silenced.”

Elodie even went ahead and addressed an incident that happened earlier this year where a guy she was purportedly dating left her stranded at night during curfew hours.

“Yup. January 1st, 2021, there are videos online of him slamming me against a table and leaving me and my baby cousins at a club past curfew. Cross-check with my “life is good” highlight. The first vid,” added Elodie.
