The six-track record came top in the charts -in the top 100 Kenyan albums on the music streaming site. His song featuring Bien - Niko Sawa - is the number one song in the country currently.
All six songs are positioned in the top 20, edging out artists such as Drake, Bruno Mars, Omah Lay, Tems, Zuchu, and other international heavyweights.
Taking to his Instagram, the Birthday song artiste cheekily posted a screenshot of his song Niko Sawa above Drake’s What’s Next, captioning it “Shukran Kwa Wote Sherehe Weekend Sasa”.
This is the first time any Kenyan artiste, besides Sauti Sol when they released their Midnight Train album, debuted at Number 1 on the songs and albums charts simultaneously.
