Dr Dre is reportedly being treated at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after reportedly suffering a brain aneurysm on Monday. TMZ has reported that the 55-year-old music mogul was rushed to hospital by ambulance and was taken direct to intensive care, where he currently remains to be treated. The media site has reported that the rapper, whose real name is Andre Romelle Young, is "stable and lucid" but medical staff are trying to pinpoint what is causing the bleeding on the brain.

It comes at a time when the founder of iconic rap group NWA had won a legal battle against his estranged wife Nicole after a judge turned down her request for $6million in legal and living expenses from him, as reported by TMZ. Nicole Young reportedly asked that Dre be demanded to pay $5million for the cost of her lawyers and a further $1.5million in other expenses, including security.

Nicole's legal team claimed she has received death threats since the break-up and needs protection. A judge dismissed the claim, in part because Nicole scrapped the previous security team that Dre was paying out for.

The hip-hop mogul's lawyer Laura Wasser, who is reportedly being instructed by Kim Kardashian to draw up divorce papers against Kanye West, told the judge that Dre is still willing to pay for Nicole's expenses, including security, to which the judge responded that Nicole could chose a private company for her personal protection but the cost could not exceed what Dre was willing to pay.

Nicole's lawyers then asked for the hearing regarding Dre paying their $5million fees to be moved from January to this month - which the judge also denied. Nicole, 50, filed for divorce from Dre in June after 24 years of marriage citing 'irreconcilable differences'.
