Matata lead among nominees for the 2020 Pulse Music Video Awards

History repeats itself yet again in the Pulse Music Video Awards 2020, as last year’s big wines rapper Khaligraph Jones and singing diva Nadia Mukami make a return in a hotly contested nominees list. Making a debut on the list are dance-turned-singing crew Matata who lead with an impressive four nominations. Mejja, Naiboi, Avril, Arrow Bwoy and Willy Paul are also favourites, each receiving more than one nomination. The nominees’ list which was unveiled on December 1 ahead of the awards ceremony set for mid-December features new categories among them children favourite Generation Next and virtual entertainment segments.

It is battle royal in the big four; Male Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year, Hip-Hop Video of the Year and Best Group of the Year where newcomers are looking to change the status quo in the local music scene.
